The CG carnival first started in October 1999. since then it has become a great supporter of young digital artists and has introduced a new digital image culture. (The 1st program in 1999: participation of 18 groups. The 2nd program in 2000: participation of 23 groups. The 3rd program in 2002: participation of 36 groups. )
Offering to young artists a good opportunity to present their works, the CG carnival is driving force behind the digital creation of a new generation. Furthermore, it promotes the digital image world of the new age by holding exhibitions with varied digital equipment, publishing the latest digital techniques, presenting image creations and finding young artists.
This time, the CG carnival presents a special program for 2 parties (6 groups in all) who have started new activities after having participated in a former CG carnival.

Part 1: Presentation of a film'VIABLE' by Akira Iwamoto and a talk show
Akira Iwamoto, participant of a former CG carnival, has created a short film making full use of the latest VFX technique. He is to present the film and to talk about the process of his work and his future projects.
He is to make comments on the computer graphic business world as it is today and its future.

Part 2:Publication of a new label 'PIX' and presentation of films
Under the leadership of Yuji Umoto, participant of a former CG carnival, 5 groups of artists have made films in their own method. They started in business with the label PIX that takes charge of the whole process, from the creation to the sale. They are to present the first 5 films under this label and to talk on the start and development of the label, their future projects and progression with the label and their next works.
